In the 12th episode of the interviews with “The Aggressor” project’s senior scholars, Prof Trencsényi explains why it is important to reflect on the meaning of the concept of aggressor in the 21st century. He highlights the legacy of Romanticism for Central and Eastern European aggressor narratives; however, it turns out that the notions of Central and Eastern Europe themselves are based on a contrast with the Western “Other.”
