In the 11th episode of our interviews with "The Aggressor" project senior researchers, Professor Chris Lorenz reveals the entangled Dutch-Indonesian post-war history through the figure of Sukarno. The first President of Indonesia had been lambasted as a fascist as well as a communist aggressor by the Dutch in the 1950s and 60s, and remains quietly swept under the carpet in the present. Lorenz explains the complicated process of Indonesia's decolonisation and shares his thoughts on the prospects of the Dutch reckoning with colonial injustice.
