Location, rooms, library

The Department of History is located in the Neue Universität building on the corner of Grabengasse and Seminarstraße. The main entrance is on Grabengasse, opposite the university library. Most of the seminar rooms are on the right (practice room IV) and on the left down a small staircase (practice rooms I-III) directly after the main entrance. To get to the Historical Seminar, the offices and the library itself, go straight ahead through the main entrance along the corridor to the ground floor of the Hexenturm. Turn right through the two glass doors.

Please remember to stow coats, jackets, bags etc. in the lockers before entering the library. The offices are located in the library, so this also applies to consulting hours.

The seminar rooms and the library in the Department of History are wheelchair accessible. There is a lift and ramps. However, access is partly through specifically unlocked doors. As a student enrolled in the subject, please inform the academic advisors in good time so that a reliable organisational solution can be found for the respective semester. For ad hoc visits, please inform the library supervisor in advance.
