Degree programmes

The basic documents for the structure of our B.A./M.A./M.Ed. degree programmes and the organisation of studies are the examination regulations, the module handbook and the curriculum. These differ depending on the degree objective, subject area and, if applicable, the time of enrolment. Before you go directly to the website of your degree programme, it is worth visiting the information page ‘Basic information for planning your studies’. There we present the various documents and information.

Examinations

As a general rule, you must register for the ‘examination’ in all courses in which you would like to earn credit points. To do this, use the ‘My studies’ app in heiCO. Please find out about the examination registration period at the Department of History in the current semester.

Counselling

Questions about studying history and historical auxiliary sciences in all degree programmes at the Department of History at Heidelberg University can be directed to various offices or persons. In addition to the academic advisors on site at the Department of History, the Central Student Advisory Office should be mentioned first and foremost. There are a large number of other counselling services. You can find more detailed explanations and all links under ‘Counselling’.
