„The Aggressor“ Project Blog Sebastian Dörr: „The Aggressor in the Manual“

The Embracer Games Archive, located at Lake Vänern in the Swedish town of Karlstad, holds around 100.000 objects related to digital games. To gather more material for the “Aggressors in Digital Games“ Database and research the topic in general, the author was able to visit one of Europe’s only games archives and gather valuable evidence regarding older games and their aggressor conceptualisations. Exploring some of the earliest digital strategy games and their way of imagining the aggressor, this blog article elaborates on the categories of the aggressor for the database, as well as visiting some classic aggressors and strategy games.
