Franco-German PhD-Track
Since 2012, the cooperation between the two institutions has also included a three-year binational doctoral program, also funded by the DFH, in addition to the Master's degree. As part of the PhD track program, graduates of the Master's degree course therefore have the option of continuing their studies directly in the cooperation as a doctoral candidate and developing the research topic dealt with in the Master's thesis into a dissertation. At the same time, the doctoral program is also open to other applicants. Applicants are free to choose their home institution for the doctoral phase. During the doctoral period, at least six months must be spent at the partner university (possibly cumulatively through several stays of at least one month each).
