postdoctoral and doctoral projects
The research conducted within the framework of doctoral and postdoctoral projects at the chair is diverse. While the current postdoctoral project focuses on social history, the doctoral projects are thematically more varied. They cover all of the chair’s main research areas. Many of these projects share a common feature: they explore new types of sources that have so far received little attention in historical research, such as patient records, administrative correspondence, and tape-recorded transcripts. They also employ a range of methodological and theoretical approaches to their sources—from institutional theory to oral history.
