Information for students
Katja Patzel-Mattern supervises both first and second theses for all degree programs at the Department of History (M.A., M.Ed., B.A.). The topics of the supervised theses (including Magister and state examination theses from discontinued programs) cover the full range of research in economic and social history, including:
- Economic, business, and organizational history
- Social and gender history, as well as postcolonial studies
- Media history
- History of knowledge, as well as studies on memory and remembrance
- Studies on nation and nationalism, as well as the era of the world wars
